Description
This extended presentation does not aim to offer a complete methodology for further development, but provides some suggestions for exploration once this process has been completed. These include: scales in thirds, extended scales, inversions of arpeggios, extending the range upwards – 333 fingerings are provided to extend the range of the instrument to four octaves, varying metre, varying rhythmic patterns, using different articulations and varying tempo and dynamics. There is a short essay entitled “the secret of whizz-kid finger technique” which explores the development of finger technique for rapid passagework. There is no practice plan after this lesson as the content of practice should now be determined by the player.
