Description

There is a historical note explaining the reason for the more recent addition of a top F# key to the modern saxophone, followed by some revision of the finger technique required for the operation of the top note keys. Exercise 86 prepares for the scale of F# major for two octaves which is then written out. Exercises 87 and 88 are for the scale of F# harmonic and melodic minor respectively. Exercise 89 helps with the top of all the F# arpeggios for two octaves, including the seventh arpeggios, which are also written out. Exercise 90 is for the chromatic scale and Exercise 91 is for the whole tone scale. The full F# sequence is then presented as it should be practised. Practice Plan 43 incorporates all the material so far covered.
