Fingerings to use in the scale of Db major are illustrated, and Exercise 76 assists with this scale. The scale and arpeggio of Db major are written out with a note about fingering shortcuts in the arpeggio. The arpeggio of Db major is converted to an arpeggio of C# minor. This lesson includes a brief essay on the importance of aural awareness in developing an understanding of the two minor modes. Exercise 77 is for C# harmonic minor and Exercise 78 is for C# melodic minor. Each scale is presented after the exercise that applies to it. The full Db/C# sequence is presented in full at the end of the lesson. Practice Plan 36 incorporates all the material so far covered.
