The scale of D major is presented and converted to a scale of D minor. D melodic minor is constructed with an emphasis on developing aural awareness. Exercises 56 and 57 assist with playing the two forms of minor scale and the D sequence is presented in full. Practice Plan 27 incorporates all the material so far covered.
