Description

The layout of the left-hand, fifth finger keypad and the action of the fifth fingers in the scale and arpeggio of C# minor are discussed in detail, leading to further exploration of the use of the articulated G# mechanism. This is all exercised in Exercises 36 and 37 and the scale and arpeggio of C# minor for two octaves are written out. Practice Plan 18 incorporates all the material so far covered.
