Each octave of the chromatic scale starting on D for two octaves is broken into three sections which are exercised separately in Exercises 27 to 29. Exercise 30 also covers the movement to top D. Chromatic fingerings for F#, Bb and C are illustrated. The chromatic scale is presented with all the appropriate fingerings indicated. The importance of applying metre to chromatic scales is explained. Exercise 31 prepares for the chromatic scale starting on C, which is then presented with fingerings indicated. Practice Plan 15 incorporates all the material so far covered.
