The use of the articulated G# mechanism in the scale of A major is discussed and features importantly in Exercise 19. The scale and arpeggio of A major for a twelfth are presented. An alternative fingering for F# in the scale of F# minor is offered and features in Exercise 20. The scale and arpeggio of F# minor for a twelfth are set out.
