Description
The fingering for top F is explained and illustrated and the scale and arpeggio of F major are presented for three octaves. There is also a historical note about transposing instruments, explaining the need for the clarinet in A. The arpeggio of F major is converted to F minor to facilitate the construction of both forms of minor scale. Exercise 59 is for and followed by the scale of F harmonic minor. Exercise 60 is for and followed by the scale of F melodic minor. The F sequence is presented in full. Practice Plan 33 incorporates all the material so far covered.
